World renowned digital payment solutions business, Neosurf today announced it has partnered with Riot Games, as an official partner of Oceanic Pro League (OPL). The deal builds upon momentum Neosurf has already established within the local esports scene through its partnership with the Dire Wolves and the Esports High Performance Centre (EHPC), and further demonstrates the payment provider’s commitment to establishing itself within gaming in Australia and New Zealand, and to providing experiences that enrich the esports viewing experience.
Neosurf Chief Commercial Officer, Andrea McGeachin said about the partnership, “At Neosurf we are proud of our products which make it simple and safe for gamers to pay for the things they love online. By supporting the OPL, the teams and the players our aim is also to support the fans of League of Legends here in the Oceanic region and enable them to get even more enjoyment from the game they love.”
“Neosurf has ambitious plans in Australia and New Zealand and ambition is one of the key attributes we look for in a new partner. This partnership will bring esports fans in the region deeper, more engaging content that will elevate the overall viewing experience. We can’t wait to get started.” said Daniel Ringland, Head of Riot Games in Oceania.
The OPL remains the leading esports league in Australia, seeing strong growth this year with an average of 35,000 local views per match day. In addition to being Official Partner, Neosurf will be Presenting Partner of the OPL Playoffs and Finals, continuing this weekend and culminating in the Split 1 Grand Final on Friday 24 April.
“At Neosurf, we have enjoyed a very successful partnership with Riot Games across Europe. The opportunity now to extend this into the Oceanic region is an exciting move for us and we look forward to cementing our relationship even further,” added Andrea McGeachin.
